This album, compared to Music Has the Right to Children, is a whole other animal. This album is much darker than its predecessor, and that even shows in its album length (66 minutes, 6 seconds-I'll let you figure out the rest). As for the songs, they definitely share similarities to those on Music Has the Right to Children, such as the nostalgic feel that almost all BoC songs possess. However, there are many differences abound on Geogaddi. Below is a song by song review based on how I feel about them (As best as I can anyway):1. Ready Lets Go: Lead-off song that has a good build up to the rest of the album. Similar to how an old high-school science video starts up.2. Music is Math: This song has a Music Has the Right to Children vibe for most of the song. As the song ends, it gains a much darker feel to it.3. Beware the Friendly Stranger: Short transitional song with a distorted quality to it that's similar to vinyl or TV static.4. Gyroscope: Every element combines perfectly to give it a very creepy vibe. If you've seen the movie Sinister, you heard this at the end credits.5. Dandelion: Pretty cool transitional track with sampled audio from an old TV show. You may recognize the voice in the sample.6. Sunshine Recorder. Another very dark track with an awesome, indescribable vibe.7. In the Annexe: Another transitional track with a vibe that I cannot describe.8. Julie and Candy: Pretty cool song to take a midnight drive to. Interesting vibe to it.9. The Smallest Weird Number: Transitional song that has a chill vibe to it.10. 1969: Probably my favorite song on the album. Everything in this song works perfectly to produce a beautiful piece of ambient music.11. Energy Warning: Really cool transitional track with instrumentation played alongside an older PSA clip about energy conservation.12. The Beach at Redpoint: Beautiful song with a very mellow vibe to it. Pretty hard to describe it in words.13. Opening the Mouth: This song needs to be heard with headphones-that's all I'll really say.14. Alpha and Omega: Another song with a really cool beat to it. Ending gets pretty interesting as well.15. I Saw Drones: Very short transitional track with a cool keyboard line to it.16. The Devil is in the Details: This song slowly becomes creepy as it goes. Distortion along with voices adds to said creepiness.17. A is to B as B is to C: This is a song that changes its whole vibe halfway through the song in a very interesting way.18. Over the Horizon Radar: Very chill transitional song. Good song to fall asleep to.19. Dawn Chorus: There is an extreme beauty to this song, along with a creepy feeling.20. Diving Station: Transitional song that is somewhat unsettling for reasons I can't explain.21. You Could Feel the Sky: This song is both very dark and very beautiful. Something to drive along to at night.22. Corsair: Another dark and atmospheric song. Hard to put into words.23. Magic Window: Silence...literally.This album, like Music Has the Right to Children, is nearly impossible to describe into words. As one reviewer mentioned, this album is alive, and I definitely agree with that statement, as this album's vibe changes dramatically from song to song.
