Let Me Luv U was my 1st introduction 2 Lalah Hathaway when I was living in Tennessee and I always wanted that song again b-cuz the cassette single is gone! I now have this cd and it's a classic that u can play from start 2 finish. The ballads are those rare slow grooves that have different emotions that conjure up feelings of love and melancholy heartache. When I say rare what I mean is that there isn't this type of music being made anymore. It has that distinct sound from that era, the early 90's when r and b was at a loving Godly place. What I love about this cd, mainly some of the ballads, reminds me of Christmas eve day or Christmas morning, songs that would sound so good over a hot cup of coffee, maybe even some rain or snow as you relax in your robe or just stare out your window and enjoy life. My fave trax on the cd are Let Me Luv U, Family Affair, These R The Things, Do U Suppose, Better As A Memory. I consider Lalah Hathaway an obscure r and b singer that more people should get into if they get their minds off Beyoncé and other burnt out singers and give music like this live again.
