I need to preface this review by saying I am a HUGE Santana fan. I didn't expect to LOVE this album but I did. Like many others, I have been a fan since Woodstock. This album is one of his best albums which I was not aware of. The album was beautifully engineered. The sound was flawless. I enjoyed all the cuts on this album. I believe it was a natural progression from his earlier albums (Santana I, Abraxas, etc.). I didn't care for some his jazz stuff he did when he was involved with John Mahavishnu McLaughlin. If you like his earlier albums, you will not be disappointed.
